I would’ve said my stay here was excellent were it not for the issue with elevator wait times. There were times when we had to wait over 5 minutes for an elevator because apparently only 2 of the 6 were working. In a hotel that large you need at least 4 to keep up with regular traffic. Staff were exceptional and the room/location were amazing. It’s right on the edge of Central Park (South end). It’s right near everything like 5th Avenue shopping, Broadway, and Times Square. I would stay here again, and I do recommend it even with the elevator issues.

The Park Lane is excellent overall. A great location, hotel is well presented and photos of the property do not do it justice - the Darling rooftop area, 2nd floor restaurant and Rose Lane bar are all great with lovely and attentive staff who really look after guests and provide great service. The room was great, much larger than expected and with amazing views over Central Park. However, the air conditioning did not work at all in our room and no matter the outside temperature the the room was very hot and uncomfortable despite the hotel providing fans to help cool the room - various explanations were given by staff, none of which really made sense, but tbh at this price point I just really expect the AC to work and not to be hot and sweaty in my hotel room. I stayed in late April/early May and can only imagine how hot it gets during summer. Lifts were a bit slow but not too bad. Overall I enjoyed the Park Lane, we did a bit of light celeb spotting in the lobby and bar, we loved the staff, the overall vibe and would definitely stay again if we could be assured that air con issues were fixed.

Food was good. Elevators did not work or they were very long lines for them and staff would not allow us to take the stairs even though we were willing to do so. AC was not very functional - room AC could not cool to the setpoint, even though it was not a very hot day. Bed was very comfortable. Shower had very good water pressure. Location was extremely convenient. Staff were helpful and pleasant.

The staff were great. Unfortunately, the hotel has seen better days. Very long waits for an elevator were common. To the extent that we actually used the stair on several occasions. We later found out that a couple of the elevators were out of service. The room was extremely hot. We were switched to another room that wasn't must better and had to request fans be brought up. This was a common theme with other guests staying at the hotel.

Unfortunately, our experience at this hotel was disappointing due to the lack of air conditioning in our room. It was over 80°F inside, making it extremely hot and uncomfortable to sleep. While maintenance did bring us a tower fan, it was nowhere near sufficient to cool the room. For the price point of the stay, we expected basic comforts like functional AC, so this was a letdown. I hope management addresses this for future guests.

To hot

The room temperature did not work it was uncomfortably hot. I set it to 66 degrees and it would not got under 73. I paid over 600 a night and i will not be returning. It felt way hotter than 73 degrees this is including the blinds being shut. I was so uncomfortable we were sweating so much
