I guess it was the peak time of the season that’s why accommodation was costly and not vacant at most of the places in Rotorua. We liked the central location of the Kairu Park motor lodge. Rooms were overall tidy but need lot of renovations. Staff was cooperative. Washroom amenities were there but bath tub shower was worse. So I think if they can work on maintenance and renovation, the facility can improve a lot.

My experience at this property was completely unacceptable. The room was in extremely poor condition, and several issues raised serious concerns about safety, cleanliness, and the accuracy of the listing. There were no fire evacuation instructions anywhere in the room, and exposed telephone wiring was hanging beneath the television. Although this was advertised as a deluxe room, nothing about it met that standard. The bedding was dirty, and both the main pool and the private pool were so poorly maintained that they could not be used. The ceiling appeared to be held up with visible screws, and there was mould present in multiple areas. The oven had no racks, making it impossible to heat food safely. These conditions are far below what any guest should expect. This property did not meet basic safety requirements or hygiene standards, and the listing was misleading. I strongly advise future guests to avoid this accommodation based on my experience.

Unfortunately this motel is extremely tired and is in need of a thorough renovation. There was black mould in the showers, the kitchen floor was sticky, and the beds were uncomfortable. Wayne who looked after us was friendly, however the motel didn't feel very secure or private.

There was a great natural thermal pool but property in a noisy location and had a noisy pipe clanging all night. very dated and tatty. Needed renovation. Wall heater not working some power points not working. Paid Laundry had clutter all around. Didnt see staff unless i phoned them. Would not stay again.

Stayed with family members. Checked in late but no issues at all. Room had what we needed, kitchen, bathroom and good sized room. Good location, walking distance to lake front and hot pool spa which was great. Would stay again.
