Staff were lovely, room was fine. Towels all had a horrible smell to them. Remote was missing. Bottom floor was not staffed, just desks with signs saying the desk was unmanned at the time, no indication/signage the reception was on the next floor up.

The only thing we didn’t like about our stay is that we paid extra for a harbour view room and we definitely did not have a harbour view. There is a building getting built in front of the Novotel which completely blocked our view. Very disappointing.

Housekeeping was a disappointment. Day 1 we checked in after 3 pm as our room was not ready. Day 2 our room was serviced at 5.30. Day 4 we went to breakfast at 8am, with 3 trolleys servicing rooms near by, but our room was serviced at 4.30pm.

I was very shocked by the standard of this Novotel. After daily room cleaning, cups and spoons were not replaced / clean, hair on toilet floor was also not sweep away, our rubbish bin was also not cleared. Room is old but big in size. Location is near to icc sdyney.
