Have stayed at ovolo a few times now. First room I was allocated to the air-conditioner was not working and on a hot 30° day I waited to unpack whilst I waited for the air-conditioner to start working, I ended up having to ring reception and they were very quick to move me to the wharf side, which was in my opinion of the better side anyway, and had a brand-new air-conditioning system. I will note though that the air-conditioner appears to be on a timer of some sort and continuously would turn off at all hours, I would only be aware of this because the room would always start heating up.
I remember the bar used to be quite a popular place to go back in the day but while I visited it Dead and no atmosphere. There are many other restaurants and pubs/bars around though in walking distance.
The first night parking cost me $90 valet as I was coming from Canberra and not too familiar with the area I felt that was the best option, but on the second evening I managed to get a car park untimed right out the front.
I loved the little one bedroom two story loft. The downstairs lounge room had everything I needed for comfort for a busy few days of work.
I ordered in a few times and the food was all spectacular.
I never got to see the pool or much else as I was just too busy. I will definitely stay again though.
