My room was teeny tiny but suited a short stay. Next to no food left at brekky half way through service. No coffee. And no staff to be found. Bed super comfy and room quiet. I’d stay again but would expect a much lower rate. High due to time of year.

The Strand provided a comfortable and convenient stay for the first few days I spent travelling around. The included breakfast was more of a holdover snack until I could get an actual meal, but was nice to have nonetheless. The room was clean, but worn. The bottom of the curtains and the area around the window were stained with water damage. The rooftop bar was nice, but required a booking. Staff were all friendly and helpful. The bed was very comfortable and the shower was spacious. For the price paid The Strand was great!

Walking distance to the city centre and kings cross. Great restaurants around the corner in Stanley st. We were worried it might have been noisy when we arrived but this wasn’t a problem. The staff were helpful when we arrived.

While I liked my room and the general area of the hotel, I did not like that there was no accessible staff or help desk. Also, it felt unsafe to me because while there are keys required to enter the room floors, all doors were open without a key required. It felt like a hostel because it was very independent. Breakfast was offered but one day it was not served and then the other a whole spread was served with croissants, yogurt, coffee, pastries, etc. Also, the rooftop was not open other than on the weekend. It attempts to be a hipster and cool spot but there is no information on those spots being open only on the weekend. In addition, access to the rooftop requires that people go through the room floors which would also make it feel even more unsafe. While I really wanted to like this spot, I paid too much for what I got...

Property dose have a caracter and it was clean, but i dont think it matches the pictures. No lift and no receptionists. I think with that price i could have get somewhere better. I might be wrong. But overall no complain.

Daytime staff were extremely friendly and helpful. Assistance with luggage was appreciated especially since there is no elevator in this hotel. The staircase was narrow and winding and needs attention to restore to its former glory. The hyped Casbah/rooftop bar didn't open during our stay due to a lack of customers according to bar staff. Disappointing since we were looking forward to the Mediterranean style offerings. We were also told the kitchen was closing in 2 minutes when we attempted to order food from the bar. Didn't realize it closed at 9pm. This left very few options on a rainy evening. The room was clean except for the dirty marks all over every wall. A coat of paint would make all the difference! We enjoyed the neighborhood but wouldn't return to The Strand Hotel unfortunately.

From the moment we walked into the Strand Hotel, the staff were there, smiling and going the extra mile for us. The room was simple and very comfortable-and best of all quiet. We were in the second floor below the rooftop terrace and not a sound came through. We slept so well. The bed a comfortable and the room and bathroom clean. For us, the staff are the highlight of this secret little hotel. They are just so kind and friendly, they even remembered us and our story the night after checking in when we ran into our check-in staff member at the bar. The breakfast is simple and they provide fruit and yoghurt for celiacs. We will definitely stay there again and recommend you do too.

We had a lovely stay at the strand; the staff were so friendly and inviting and it was so close to the city without being overly busy. When we unexpectedly had to stay an additional night after our flight home was cancelled, they looked after us very well again and made us feel welcome our entire stay. We will definitely return to this establishment, loved it!!

I was,sooooo sorry but following my Eye Operation on Thursday I had to inform you online in a Text, that I had to CANCEL my Booking which I hope you then were able to book it for another Person and NOT CHARGE my VISA Card as it was saying would happen when you BOOKED my Room, this would happen as you were advertising online that NO CHARGE for Cancellations.
