Nice room, clean and quiet, personable staff. My disappointment stems from a simple issue with the TV - was not able to choose a station or show other than what was pre determined. A small issue perhaps, but dammed annoying.

I found our accommodation was located close to shops and food options. Our room was clean and adequate for our needs. We did not dine in house but found a very good restaurant a short walk away.

We thought their upgrades to the room had been carried out with taste. All staff in all areas where great and friendly. The bar manager was very professional and we thought went out of her way to help. Other items that might help improve. Handle in shower cubicle, would help a person with mobility problems. Repair wheel chair ramp.

Great location with good parking. Quiet but not far from the main road and shopping streets. Some views depending on your room. Nice character hotel. Bathroom could have been a little better but goof for an older building.

One night stay, after a long day.

Quaint room, and we were totally beat after driving all day. Was sad we missed out on the restaurant, but we settled in and hot shower + right to sleep. Nice bed, and good little fridge to keep our road snacks for the next day. My only qualm about this place is we paid for an Executive room, and the photos online are -quite- stretched. It's a very - small room. And there is *No, soundproofing - so whoever had the cart of dishes at 6am. Thanks for that. I'd stay here again because the front desk staff were so nice! and it's a convenient location. Good amount of Parking too. Right in front of the Building. Not much open late at night, if you're hungry. But it's a nice place for a stopover or a weekend roadtrip in our book.

A beautifully renovated old building, with the perfect mixture of timeless classic architecture and modern amenities. Loved the original elevator, was quite charming, and faster than some modern elevators we’ve used. The rooms were tastefully decorated with a modern bathroom. Being on the top floor was amazing, as we had views of the ocean and port, right from the bed. The quaint restaurant was warm and inviting with its exposed brick walls. Service was top notch.

It’s a grand old hotel with lovely ceilings in the foyer in particular. The receptionists are very pleasant and welcoming. I was in a very nicely refurbished room on the second floor. Very comfortable and clean, and a really good shower with very good water pressure. I slept well, and enjoyed being close to cafes and the railway station. All in all a really nice place to stay. It will be my first choice next time I travel to Timaru.
