Hotels & Accommodation near Covent Garden Market

This is a super trendy hotel with a beautiful entryway, right off of Piccadilly Circus two escalators take you up into an immaculate reception styled like a chic nightclub with gorgeous gold stairs leading up to the bar. The problem? At the base of the escalators a sign indicates that for a step free entry you can walk through a nondescript door off to the side. Down several hallways and turns you find an elevator that will bypass the stairs. When accessibility is hidden behind doors that feel like a loading dock out of view of the glitz and glam of the entryway of the hotel it sends a subtle message: wheelchairs, rollators, walkers, and anyone using them or anyone who is unable to make it up ten steps is not part of the aesthetic of the hotel and should be hidden away. I use a walking aide (a cane) and also had a heavy small rolling suitcase with me and had to drag it around those hallways to get to the front desk. In the morning when I went for breakfast I was pointed down a bizarre staircase with no lift in sight to their glamorous restaurant. Is the restaurant not accessible or was accessibility not offered? Were it not for this I would have easily rated the hotel 5 stars. The staff is great, the hotel is clean, the bed was comfortable, and the breakfast was delicious. When I checked out a staff member happily helped me carry my suitcase down the stair case and escalator and all the way out the front door without being asked.
