The location was great. Honestly we expected a little more from a well known hotel/resort chain. A few issues. 1. TV wasn’t working - easy fix maintenance replaced just inconvenient. 2. Found sand in our newly made bed (question the. If it was changed). 3. Flushing the toilet cut the cold water to the shower so water can scold, not even a warning sign. Told maintenance when doing TV replacement. 4. No complimentary toiletries or water which always adds a nice touch for guests. 5. Patio/balcony door very heavy and hard to open. The quality of the room was fairly low just In General. Very pokey bathroom with door opening up onto shower entry, awkward basin as faucet too short and worst of all was a very uncomfortable bed. Very hard mattress. Just expected a better quality from Novotel name. To top it all off when checking out the reception didn’t even ask how our stay was, just took the keys and said “okay”. I mentioned the sand in the bed and to pass onto housekeeping but frankly their reaction was quite disconnected. At least they apologised but still didnt ask how everything else was so didn’t bother. I recommend management look at the guest experience and how to achieve a premium stay by just the little things. I know much can’t be done about room structure but ensuring all rooms are quality checked, low cost freebies (all others do it) and a show of care will go a long way.

Absolutely wonderful time staying with you Thank you. We did ask the staff member behind the bar on Sunday afternoon if happy hour was still on ??? , the staff member replied that happy hour was still available. We ordered same drinks and was charged full prices 🙃 We didn't say anything at the time and just decided to take the rest of our business elsewhere for the rest of the afternoon. Staff were so rude. Parking is an extra $27 on top of the $300 you pay for the room. It’s a joke. Can’t access parking basement during certain times and wasn’t notified of such thing. No swim up bar. No ingredients in the bar to make cocktails on their menu Really reallly reallllllllllllly rude staff.

The ocean was visible from my room and also my room overlooked the beach, just as what l expected . Staff were very helpful and they checked on daily basis if l needed help with anything. The only problem was the noise either from the pub and some music. The location is great

I love everything about Novotel! The service, the clean rooms, the housekeeping, the buffe. The convenience to shops, bars, beach, restaurants, nightlife. Its my choice of hotel whenever I go to Surfers Paradise.

ammenities were lacking the pool wasn’t available till 4pm and i wasn’t made aware of that upon booking. Rooms could have been cleaner. Carpets in hall ways smell like very strong mould
