Cockroaches

After checking in to the room we found cockroaches. I notified the staff at the front desk. I told him we would not be staying there and would require a refund. I was told it would take a couple days. I have not received a refund nor any response from the hotel. I REQUIRE A REFUND!!!!!

The staff was nice and the room was up to date and clean. Our only complaint was that the door/door frame wasn't a good fit. It was a cold night and we could feel the area streaming in around the door frame and the bottom of the door. We had to cover the spots up ourselves as much as possible to limit the cold air from coming into the room.

The property is in an area that makes it easy to enjoy the city of Monterey. It is close to shops and bars for walking, and only 7 minutes away from Canary Row.

We stayed here for 3 nights. It was very clean. So much to do nearby, it’s the perfect place if you want to hit Big Sur, Carmel, Point Lobos, etc! Only thing is customer service wasn’t the greatest. When calling for towels one night (they didn’t come in for housekeeping that afternoon) they were very rude and vague about it. Also, not sure if walls/floor are very old but the room upstairs made a horrible loud squeaking sound every time they’d walk. It kept us up. Overall, it was okay. Cleanliness was def a strength.

We are traveling the PNW heading way down south. Booked last minute in real time while en route and did not give us any issues checking in. We couldn’t decide which one to book because we have a big truck with an overland camper and most establishments will not clear vehicles higher than 7’8” clearance. This location is perfect for our need. The rooms are clean and updated. We were just in at 11 pm and out by 7 am. We were told theres coffee and granola bar/ fruit by lobby but the office was closed when we left. Loved how much the rates we got for the night.

The room was spacious and looked clean. The location of the Hotel was pedect to walk around and explore the city. My original room had some issue but they right away moved me and my family to a new room with out hesitation.

Customer service is key!

My flight was delayed 2-hours and one of the guest service reps said that I would be able to cancel my room because I wouldn’t make it in time check in. 30 minutes later, I’m told that I can’t cancel my room. They could have at least said, sorry to hear about that, would you like to stay another for the same rate or something to make it right. But that didn’t happen! Very sad!
