The check in process took ages. We had to wait in a queue for about 15 mins and then the process it self was lengthy. I even filled in information ahead of time to speed the process up. The decor of the hotel is really dated and the carpets in the entry are stained. Should consider a face lift and making the check in process smoother for such a highly rated hotel,

Breakfast was not free but it was the most amazing buffet I have ever experienced. I would suggest not calling our room at 1:45 AM to say a “message was being delivered.” Soon after a knock at the door and toothbrushes and toothpastes were delivered. We were checking out in the morning. NO ONE wants a call at 1:45 AM!

The front door man overheard I may have had a medical emergency during my stay and took a moment to personally relay to me information regarding the doctor who is on call for the hotel, and also relayed the message to the general manager, who reached out and offered assistance and personal contact info. The staff were all amazing. We arrived very early in the morning and our room wasn’t ready so they gave us access to the spa changing rooms to shower and our room was ready before 10am which was very appreciated. Whilst the room itself wasn’t amazing, it had everything you needed with a very comfy bed and the hotel is in a great location. We didn’t get breakfast in the hotel as it was $60 pp and there are so many lovely cafes very close by to get breakfast and it was less than half the price of the hotel breakfast.

This place was exceptional, staff are amazing and the food at The Mode restaurant is as good as any Michelin star restaurant but without the cost. Bed was so comfortable with amazing views….i’ll be coming back for sure
