River Rock is an ok property it has better restaurant choices than other airport close hotels. They charge a facilities charge separately and a credit card surcharge when booking through travel apps. I hate being charged for facilities which I never use. It may make me not choose this property again when flying in or out of YVR

The elevator on the side of the hotel we stayed on ( casino) only one worked, which could lead to longer than usual waits. The smoking area inside the casino by the poker area had chairs that looked like they were from a dump with padding gone and only dirty foam cushion showing. On the plus side we were upgraded to a one bedroom suite at no charge when we checked-in. Very little waitress service for alcohol or other drinks on the casino floor. The Canada Line train was very close by. Any grocery stores,liquor stores or food vendors such as KFC, Burger King etc. were about a five to six block walk away. The food in the food court in the casino we thought were overpriced for what you got. overall we enjoyed our stay at River Rock and would return.

The bed was incredibly comfortable and the room was immaculately clean. The kids loved the pool, but another kid barfed in the stairs and the staff member who cleaned it up took a long time and still missed some. The family-friendly food options on-site weren’t great. The buffet was way over-priced (especially for picky kids) and everything we ordered for room service was just not very good. While we were there one of the two elevators in the tower we were staying in was out of order which made for really long waits. Especially around check-out.
