Payed extra for superior room and not satisfied. Room Was facing the parking so couldn’t open the windows. Mornings were so loud due to outdoor noises in the parking.

Location is great. Garage nice option, but small and lots of obstacles. Room sinks offer no room for setting toiletry items. Rooms have tall ceilings, which is nice. Bedding dated and smell like grandmas house. Pillows are terrible. “Health club” is a joke…In same room as indoor hot tub and hardly any equipment. Really strange setup. Meatballs, the restaurant, has great food and service-5 stars. Overall hotel rating is a 3-3.5 due to being outdated and listed items above.

The Moutainview king room with a fireplace was divine during our snowy visit for our Christmas stay. Clean and roomy, would highly recommend this room choice at the Ptarmigan Inn in Banff AB!!

After long drive as seniors we arrived at 2:40pm & hoped to get our room for a nap. Check in clerk was not at all friendly. Advised us very curtly that check in was at 4:00. Many yrs of travel & only encountered this once before. It wasn’t that room not ready it was computer glitch wouldn’t allow keys to b made. She did not explain tho until we asked. Did give room around 3:30 after we sat in lobby for an hr. Room bad location. Right by entrance to parking & at 4:30 AM staff started moving carts etc right under window! On ground floor on Marten St. so people cud see in so had to keep blinds down! We thought we had booked a king with mtn view but that’s not what we got. Room was nice otherwise. Roomy & comfortable bed. TV not user friendly & poor lighting in room. Stay was acceptable but wud not return. Restaurant had wonderful server nite of Dec 23. Food was ok but nothing special. Upon checkout same clerk just said “ok” no “thanks for coming” or anything. Needs training in Customer Service.

Ptarmagin is a lovely, basic, very comfortable and quiet hotel. Room was great, for the price! No issues with hot water! Bathroom was relatively small, but so what! All of the essentials. Clean tub and shower (combined) and single sink with very limited counter space. Only thing missing was an exhaust fan in the bathroom. Balcony door was the next best option.
