The best thing about this hotel was the location. Very centrally located to the downtown Banff area and easy to walk to everything! The rooftop pools & sauna were a great addition to our stay as well. The filtered water station on the 4th floor was also amazing for filling without having to spend money on water! Some things that weren’t ideal for our stay was the front desk staff & staff in general. They weren’t rude but they didn’t acknowledge us often. I don’t think one staff member actually acknowledged us in the common areas, hallways, or even in passing. I thought it was strange to not greet the guests. Another thing is in order to get to your room, you have to walk outside from the main hotel halls. This made the common areas rather chilly and we weren't able to leave our room quickly without bundling up. It wasn’t the cozy hotel we were expecting and we had to wear our jackets throughout the entire hotel. Finally, when having regular cleaning service done, none of our trashed was removed. We had old pizza sitting in our room for 3 nights. Usually the cleaners take your trash/ room service trays or you can leave it outside your door. Our door leading directly outside we felt we shouldn’t leave rubbish.
