Very comfortable stay. Unfortunately our sleep was ruined by a very noisy lady who was arguing, shouting and banging doors for most of the night. She was obviously arguing with the people she was with. Sadly as we are a mature couple it disturbed our sleep considerably.

Room was dusty next to tea tray when we arrived. Room wasn’t cleaned properly, table was sticky. Everytime the toilet in any other room was flushed we heard running water for at least 20 mins. Room was dark and dingy. Sheets weren’t changed.

Terrible. I would never stay here again. Having completed the London to Brighton 100k I knew despite the price I would only have a few hours before checking out. all I wanted was a shower and a few hours sleep - this hotel was a 100km disappointment! I had informed the hotel of my late checkin but upon arrival at 8.30am (where checkout was midday) the receptionist said the booking was closed due to a no show. She opened it eventually and gave me a key to a room which when I opened the door was clearly already occupied judging by the items scattered around. This is a serious breach of security and safety if someone can just walk into your room. My friend had the same issue and walked into a room where she found two people in the bed! The receptionist wasted an hour of the time I would have had in the room in sorting out these issues. She was not at all sympathetic or in any rush. The facilities are basic, the staff don't care and I would have serious safety concerns staying here again. I would have contacted Ibis customer care directly but good luck trying to find a number of email address for them!

Overnight stay. Late arrival but night porter was very friendly and professional. Excellent hotel location. Room was adequate although decor looked tired and in need of decoration. Bathroom and shower were good. Overall hotel was adequate for purpose ie single night stay.

The beds were very comfortable but the overall cleanliness of the floors and bathroom could have been better. We were constantly walking on long hair that wasn’t ours. The fan in the bathroom also did not work, leaving the whole room very steamy. We won’t be staying again.

A great stay

Reception staff were friendly and as we had booked an extra day separately, they had new keys ready for us on the last day and we kept the same room. The room was spacious and clean, though I don't know why a bath mat was only available on request and not automatic.
