I was originally booked into a room in the building across the road - but on arrival, I was given an upgrade to a very nice double ensuite room in the main hotel. Some online reviews said it was noisy because there are a lot of bars nearby - but I didn't find it noisy at all. The staff are very kind and friendly. The romm was clean and comfortable. There is no lift - which may be a consideration for some. It has free parking behind the hotel - which, for me, was a big plus as parking around Newcastle is difficult to find and rather expensive. If you don't use a car, West Jesmond Metro Station is a few minutes walk away.

Overall. Neat tidy rooms. However needing a lot of TLC. Can feel the springs in the bed, evidently hasn’t been dusted in a while , sink hanging off the wall in the bathroom, shower was very poor , no toilet paper or facial tissues. Room fridge lukewarm. Telephone did not work either. Towels were stained and had an unpleasant damp smell.
Rooms seem well worn and not maintained.

Its not a bad hotel its just not particularly great. Location is good and bed was comfy and shower ok. Disappointing nowhere to store luggage - other than leaving it in the lobby. Quite noisey and rooms arent the most soundproofed.. All in all, given how little it cost - it still offered good value for money!

4th floor "Superior Room" (no lift) and no heating in rooms freezing -2c outside, went to Reception got one radiator working but not in bathroom. Told get someone next day. Next morning went to make a hot drink and now no water to sink,shower or toilet.Back down asked to be moved twice told will get it fixed. Left hotel and returned .Water on but no heating in bath room and door wont close. Got rad fixed but not door, giving a spare rad to help. Never used the shower last day as I was told it was leaking through into the room below. Left hotel after the fiasco of getting my car unblocked. I have stayed here many times without any issues but not anymore. So disappointed.

The room was clean, however appeared smaller compared to the image. The bathroom door didn’t shut and got locked inside luckily had my phone with me! Staff was quick and helped me get out. The property location was good and bus stop right outside made travel very convenient.
