The apartment was great and clean but unfortunately 2 of the chairs in the kitchen area had screws poking out of them which my son went to sit on it stabbed his knee. All was said about that from the staff was "sorry about that" they did take the 2 chairs and return them 2 days later with one still had a screw poking out. As for the washing facilities not only did it cost $8NZ per wash and $8NZ per dryer the washing machine had issues. When placed on a quick cycle would just stop half way through and unless you went back and checked on it constantly you would never get you washing done. Staff didn't have much to say about it and this happend 3 times and wasn't even offered a refund or a free wash for the inconvenience. Overall was ok to stay there but don't count on washing you clothes there.

The room is clean and friendly staff. The main bed felt small for 2 persons. Sofa and carpet need steam cleaning. Kitchen was helpful but no oven.10 mins walk to town centre and 15mins back. 20mins to skyline. Best to leave the car at apartment, because finding a car park around town is a nightmare.

Excellent check in process, keypad entry was one less key to remember and so convenient. Very well laid out unit, clean and brand new, excellent condition. The host was very good at checking in with me too.

Rooms were dated - walk to centre was longer than expected - similar priced accommodation closer to centre and newer - staff were lovely - would have been more acceptable if we had hired a car as we did for Auckland to Wellington leg.

The staff was very kind and you can see that working very hard to keep up with the place. The room was a little bit dated, but finally appointed with everything that was needed. It was very blue when I was there, and they had fans to help. Keep the place a bit cooler at night. The location is good as you can walk to the downtown.. A pretty good location overall

The stairs going to the apartment had no railing to hold onto and did not feel safe. We were so thankful for the staff who carried our luggage to the top. The cleaning staff were excellent and courteous. It was very convenient to the town centre and close to bus stop.
