A little disappointed that when I looked online it showed as having rooms available at around $187 per night but when I rang to confirm prior to booking online I was told that they only had an executive room available at $270 +. I booked online through wotif anyway and there was a room there for me (not quite ready at check in) when I arrived however the cleaners seemed to be way behind with vacuum cleaners and linen bags scattered everywhere until late in the afternoon. My room was nice and clean and comfortable however.

Hi Anon, Our hotel rooms are exactly as listed, compact with tea and coffee facilities only.

I liked the property, it was clean, a good location and the rooms were nice and quiet. However we were made to pay additional money to have our bed changed from two single beds to a joined bed. I’ve never heard of a hotel charging for this and feel it’s an unjustified expense.

Hi Anon, Thanks for the feedback. You originally booked a twin room which was allocated to you and held from sale for anyone else. There is a cost to have these joined, a housekeeper has to do this and strip a clean bed. Had you of booked a king bed we would not of have had to charge you the extra fee. Glad you enjoyed your stay overall.

Clean and friendly service. Nice and quiet despite seeing construction at the front. Not too bustling with group tourists when we visited there so it was really good.

Stating "an exceptional level of luxury " on their website is ridiculous and whoever coined that byline needs to stay at a true luxury hotel. Maybe try a Sofitel or Intercontinental. The decor, lighting and furniture are not luxurious. Having a light switch to the en-suite on the bedroom side of the door is terrible. Partner disturbance by the light going on and an inability to mitigate this due to only one type of lighting (glarey and ill designed) being available was awful. This is a very well priced hotel with good sized rooms and convenient amenities such as the in room kitchenette and very well appointed in room laundry. If you want value for money this is a great place. If you want luxury give it a miss. We stayed for 3 nights. The Wifi did not work in our room and this issue was not fixed until we had spoken to 3 staff members over 2 days. As we were there for business this was very annoying and we felt we were fobbed off. One of the lifts security key was not working properly and this was very disconcerting as you would go up and down without an ability to choose a floor - this issue seemed to be known to the staff. An elderly couple we encountered were very upset by this. The towels are very small and better suited for children. The bathroom vanity is very small with little room for toiletries etc . There is no shelf in the shower for shampoo etc - they provide shampoo and soap in dispensers but we prefer our own products.
