Our stay was decent, the staff was kind and polite. The rooms seem like they are going through renovations.

This was a poor experience. Roaches in the room we received. Too many to sleep comfortably in there. We were offered an upgraded room. Although we could tell it was newly remodeled and had not been used, there were also roaches in there. At this point, all other hotels in the area were sold out, so we had to cancel our stay and weekend plans. We requested a refund due to the property's condition. Something completely out of our control. Almost a week later, we have only received a partial refund and are still trying to get a full refund.
The rooms are way outdated. We had cockroaches all over room in the early morning. Bathroom was small & toilet is way low. The rooms are outdated. There was a tv mounted on the wall with a tv on a stand in front of that worked. Went to office in the morning after fighting cockroaches and asked for a discount. The employyee said he could not. We asked for the manager and he told us this was Florida we have cockroaches. He would not call the manager and said he could not give discount. We had to ask for him to put a comment in for the manager which took multiple times to ask fo. He was very rude and condescending towards us. Finally put comment in. We walked out door when the person who I was with made a comment outside not towards him. We walked almost back to our room when he came yelling at us to watch our language. I told him to calm down and asked what he was talking about. He continued to yell at us and tell us to go to our rooms. I looked at him and said thats where we are going. You as an employee should never go after customers who have left and escalate a situation. He continued to yell and I told him to go back to his office or things would get worse. The hotel is a run down motel 6 surronded by homeless people walking all around. I will never stay at a days inn again.
Building is worn down and is in need of renovations. Safety latch on inside of door was missing. Breakfast did not have any hot items. On a positive note, the attendant in lobby was very friendly and courteous. Also, beds were comfortable. Price was reasonable.
After seeing and smelling the poor condition and mold in room 104 to 201 we had to cancel the reservation after we saw the condition of the other room as well. Rusted shower smelly room etc. We told the front desk agent to cancel and refund our payment immediately. He never even said sorry but insisted he can't refund our payment. I even have pictures of the deplorable conditions of the room.
