Didn’t realise we weren’t getting our room serviced until every third day (we were only staying three days). Had to ask every day for milk and coffee. Also no one manning the desk so you have to ring or go back later. Location was great for walking to restaurants and shopping and beach which was great. Hubby happy as had a pod coffee in the room but again had to ask for more pods.

I have stayed at the Spencer Hotel a number of times last year and have the room to be of good quality and clean. This stay, however, was disappointing in terms of on arrival in my room finding an unclean bathroom. The plughole of the bath/shower was filled with hair from previous guests. Once I had removed most of this the plug was continually blocked while the shower was on. As well as this, the TV in the lounge was out of action showing a weak signal sign on the screen. There were a number of other issues withthe overall cleanliness and state of the room. Overall disappointing. I did receive an apology from the receptionist on check out though.

The rooms at the Spencer are becoming dated. The paint on the roof in the shower was all flaky and falling off. Our room was not cleaned the entire stay. On day 3 we had to all and ask to replace our towels. We used to love staying here but I feel that may have been our last visit.
