Although the hotel is looking a bit tired, it’s steeped in history which we loved. The Churchill room is definitely worth a look in, to learn about our most famous prime minister’s times at the hotel and his political exploits. The evening meal was excellent in terms of variety, quality of food and service. Breakfast was great too. Our room was very shabby but I opted not to upgrade. If I had, I probably would have ended up with a higher quality room for a still reasonable price. Great to support these old hotels - they ought to be preserved and cherished.

We stayed for 2 nights, hotel was easy to find. Car parking good(you have to pay but good spacing) get in early to get a space. Checked in easily by a friendly staff member. Lift to room, room was large dated but very clean and a comfy bed. Coffee biscuits and realy nice toiletries available. Breakfast plentiful and hot. It seemed a busy hotel with various functions but our room was very quiet. Plus the No 10 was a great space.

Deluxe double room with Seaview was spacious and good views out to sea... bathroom huge. Decor needs attention... bed comfy... but in fairness, i loved the break at the imperial hotel. Definitely stay here again. But only if had same sort of room deluxe double seaview

Not at all pet friendly after all

I booked the Imperial for old Skool charm and historic status as a Blackpool institution. I was only staying for one night for a family diamond wedding party and specifically searched 'Trivago' for pet friendly hotels as I have a little dog. I received my confirmation and pre-arrival email and didn't think anymore about it as it had been a busy week. When I arrived I was greeted at reception but shocked to be told they are under circumstances 'pet friendly'. I spoke to the duty manager and showed him the Trivago search I did a search for the same night and the Imperial again came up. To be fair to the hotel, after a little gentle persuasion the duty manager made an exception with the caveat of Ted made a mess I would be charged! I assured him this would not be the case and thanked him for accommodating us. The hotel itself it grand and imposing and has lots of history. The room was small and back facing with satisfactory amenities. Albiet a little tired it was fine for one night. There was a TV, courtesy tray, safe, iron and board and adequate hanging facilities. The bed was a little disappointing as it was very springy Matress with little support. The duvet was very thin. The towels were soft. The toiletries were a nice touch. Breakfast was a slick operation with adequate choice and fast service of coffee on arrival. The hotel should update its listing preferences with Trivago to avoid future guest disappointment.

Hotel sited in a place with bus and tram stops a short walk from Hotel. First room we were allocated had a fault with lighting and insecure door locking system also double bed pushed right up against the wall ok for younger generation, manager quickly moved ourselves to another room which was what we should have had in the first place, bit of mish mash furniture but comfortable bed and clean room. Really good breakfast . parts of the hotel now a bit tired but we will be back
