"Handy to the CBD. "
We enjoyed three nights here and loved the location. Views from our apartment on level 22 were amazing. Beds were super comfy after a days walking. Rooms well serviced daily. Only disappointment was the lounge chairs were very uncomfortable. They need updating to ensure guest comfort.

"Central to Melbourne CBD"
The Fraser is a great place to rest your head for a night or two. The rooms are clean, quiet and offer full serviced apartment type facilities (cook top, dishwasher etc) which we didn't actually use, but would be handy for someone staying for a longer visit. The bathroom and toilet are separated from the main living area by a heavy sliding door, which feels a bit weird at first, but it works. The location is perfect for the 'west' end of Melbourne's CBD and a short stroll to China Town.

Lovely room with a great bathroom and useful study book. We slept well in a dark quiet room after an evening walking around Melbourne. Surprisingly cheap. Helpful staff. Very happy.

"Overall OK"
Found the cost of car parking expensive Lifts slow and one out of action ,this was a problem as hotel was very busy Similarly the dining room and breakfast buffet bar was crowded with continual running out of food for breakfast and staff not able to keep up with supplies. Again due to high booking I think room was not made up until late afternoon on Easter Monday

    Melbourne Hotels With History

Do you have a hankering for experiences from centuries past? Do you find yourself saying, “They don’t make hotels like they used to”? Well, that may be the case, but at Wotif we’ve rounded up the best deals on historic accommodation in Melbourne, so you can stay in vintage buildings without needing a time machine. If you’ve mastered time travel, though, we’d like to get in on that.

Traipse through the hallways of a Victorian hideaway, retire to castle-esque accommodation like 17th-century nobility or tuck in to a secluded bungalow like your favourite explorers. When you book Melbourne historic accommodation with Wotif, we’ll make sure you have old-timey options with modern amenities. Step back in time without giving up some of the best parts of being on holiday—like hot baths and cosy beds after a day of sightseeing. Because history needs a little illumination. Just ask Thomas Edison!

When you want to get to know layers of your dream destination, what better way to get started than staying in a hotel that has a few stories to tell in its walls? Sightseeing is the highlight of any holiday, but there’s nothing like getting a taste of the old days first hand. Stay close to your favourite sites and savour new—by which we mean “old”—flavours at nearby restaurants, or go antiquing ’til you drop. Travelling through time on a budget?
