Great Location and atmosphere - but noisy

Beautiful hotel, in great inner city location - couldn't be better for accessing what Newcastle and the North East has to offer. The downside to this hotel is that you can hear what is going on in the rooms around you. Three nights of the four we stayed at the Grey Street Hotel we were woken by our neighbours - who in all but one instances weren't being particularly loud, just having a conversation.

Great stay Feb 2025

Amazing stay, friendly welcome, very clean room. Check in and out process was simple and the location is perfect for bars and restaurants. Very dissappointing that the king size bed was two large singles pushed together however.

Great stay

Great hotel in a very central location. Rooms look like they have had a refurbishment and are very classy looking. Bed was lovely and comfy. The junior suite has a great separate shower and bath. Breakfast was well stocked and the hot food options were delicious. All staff were friendly and helpful. Will definitely use again.

Can’t wait to come back!

We have stayed in this hotel before but this time stayed in a junior suite which was superb and a similar cost to a standard room in many other city centre hotels. The hotel is located very centrally, just a few minutes walk from the train station, quayside and shopping areas. We were welcomed by friendly staff and check in was straight forward. Our suite was superb - large, comfortable and very clean. The bathroom felt very luxurious with a free standing bath, large rainfall shower, robes and White Company toiletries. We slept very well although there was some noise from the bar initially - to be expected in a city centre hotel/bar on a Friday night and it was not excessive. Breakfast was delicious with a great choice of cooked dishes as well as a full range of cereals, pastries and continental items. We enjoyed some great cocktails in the bar in the evenings. Service was excellent throughout with friendly and helpful staff. Overall a truly wonderful stay and incredible value for money, we will definitely be back

Staff great. Bar and restaurant really pumping on Saturday night. Great vibes. Didn’t have breakfast so can’t comment. Room on top floor great but pitiful shower was no more than a dribble. Would have been 5 stars otherwise.

I have stayed here a couple of times now whilst staying in Newcastle for the weekend. Its the ideal location to be in the heart of Newcastle. Parking is a short walk away and I love the bar downstairs for pre night out drinks. Staff are lovely and so helpful and i will continue to stay here everytime I plan a weekend in Newcastle.
