We had a great 5 days at this resort! They were so welcoming and friendly upon arrival and check in was super easy! The staff and service were fantastic and the food options for the all-inclusive were great for a family of 6 with all teenagers! Would highly recommended this resort for your next vacation!

My boyfriend and I stayed for 7 nights. Overall, my stay in Catalonia was mixed. My first impression of the property was that it was beautiful. It has modern aesthetics and lush gardens with a very nice private beach front. Since itā€™s advertised as 5-star, I was impressed by the service that I received throughout the stay. However, I was very disappointed by the cleanliness and the state of the facilities in the resort. For one, there were random stains all over the room that we stayed. The room has modern aesthetics but the couches and chairs have weird stains, the walls and floors were poorly cleaned. There was black mould on the sinks and shower floors. Which made me wonder how this resort is considered 5-star. Another instance that the resort falls consistently short is that the bed sheets didnā€™t seem clean at all. There were questionable stains left on the sheets like wine stains, weird black/dark stains, and in one instance (the day of our check-in), leftover food crumbs were seen on the ā€˜cleanā€™ sheets. Everyday, Iā€™d ask for my sheets replaced as I felt that the cleanliness didnā€™t reflect the 5-star reputation that the resort has. But housekeeping comes in everyday to clean the room and refill anything that needs to be refilled. Another thing is that the shower door doesnā€™t block the water well that it leaks out of the door that it constantly floods every time you use it. Overall, itā€™s a decent AI resort but itā€™s definitely not a 5-star resort that it claims to be

Grounds were beautiful, rooms specious and bright, staff exceptionally helpful and friends, food plentiful, beaches and sea welcoming, weather perfect. Only criticism is the complications of making reservations at the restaurants, which were difficult at times, but for the help of staff. The food in two of the four we ate at was hard to order as the portions were not clearly delineated in the menu. The steakhouse and Mamma Mia was very generous, and delicious. An excellent value,especially having taken advantage ofd a package of transportation and hotel..

Really enjoyed our stay here. First time staying north of Cancun. Resort is well-maintained. Staff are excellent - helpful, very engaged and friendly. Food is above average for all-inclusive - lots of choices and reservations for the a la carte restaurants not too difficult to get. The resort is ideal for families of young children (we are a couple in our mid-50ā€™s) so we found ourselves a bit short on same-age visitors. We enjoyed hanging out at the quieter pool and spent long days there. Evening entertainment was of a very good calibre (again for a resort). Highlight is this stretch of beach. One can walk in either direction for many kmā€™s. Overallā€¦a very good experience and would recommend.

This is the first time I have ever stayed at an all inclusive resort and I had heard these types of vacation can be hit or miss but we had a great time at Catalonia! The food was above average to good across the board (habachi was the best meal we had) and the service overall was great! For dinner at any of the restaurants, we had to make reservations and the process of doing so was confusing at times. Having exclusive access to the beach right off the property was also amazing. We did not have the best weather, so we were a little disappointed in the fact that neither pool was heated and there were no hot tubs on the property. Overall it was a good trip and we would go back!

Beautiful beach escape

Beautiful full service all inclusive. Loved how much beach and chair access there was on the beach. Main food hall is great, most restaurant are fine but not great except the Tepenyaki- that spot was excellent. Loved the roomy suite. Didnā€™t use the patio pool because it was not heated. Itā€™s a big but not too big resort. Bummer that Pepsi products were the standard.

Iā€™m so happy we chose Catalonia for our vacation, the food is amazing, cheers to the chefs! We have stayed in a couple of resorts in Cancun and Punta Cana and I can say Catalonia grand Costa Mujeres has the best food. They offer delicious options for lunch including Peruvian restaurant, Mexican restaurant, Italian and burgers (besides the buffet). The room was clean, comfortable bed and Karina the house keeper was always attentive and friendly, our room stayed clean and organized during our whole stay. Definitely will come back.
