It's best to take a cab or hop on the Q70 bus to access the metro; take the E or 7 line to get to Long Island City. Once you reach your destination, make like a true New Yorker and get yourself around on your own two feet. If it's more than a few blocks, it's easy enough to hop on the metro or MTA bus system.
