The Princess Suite was beautiful! The view of the lake and mountains from the balcony was breathtaking. The private hot tub and outdoor fireplace were amazing. Incredible experience at this property! Everything was flawless! The service was absolutely exceptional. The food was amazing and thoughtfully prepared, every detail of this stay was remarkable. Within the rooms there are two emergency exit signs which illuminate the room all night. They do not fit into a 5 star experience and are taccy. Along with this the lights within the bathroom illuminated the bedroom.

The Carlin is well located in easy walking distance to the Queenstown Mall and Lake Wakatipu. The complimentary airport pick-up made my arrival seamless. The rooms are modern with every detail considered. I received a surprise upgrade upon checking in. The cocktail hour and breakfast included in the rate were delicious and added value. I loved relaxing on the terrace with the hot tub and outdoor fireplace and the box of treats left at evening turndown service. I wouldn't hesitate to return to the Carlin the next time I'm in Queenstown.

Was looking forward to staying here, however didn’t have the greatest stay. The balcony with spa and fireplace was excellent, however around ten pm another family opened our door with their key, which was quite startling. The bathroom had average water pressure and looked a bit tired. We were woken up in the middle of the night with the sound of wind coming through the fire door in the bedroom.
