Grand hotel on the hill

Pros: I loved the whole feel of it. It didn't feel clinical and sterile like a lot of hotels , it felt very welcoming and comfortable. We all fell in love w
Location: its just a short taxi ride into town and is far enough away that there is no traffic noise. its a hidden gem
We brought my 90 year old aunty to Queenstown for a surprise birthday treat. What a treat it was. she felt totally spoilt and indulged , by the staff and just loved her room and what it offered... huge bed that was super comfy, huge TV, a balcony and tea and coffee facilities. From the time we walked into reception until the time we left she was made to feel like a queen.

Reasonable hotel

Pros: Facilities - Carparking, Pool, restaurant.
Cons: Some parts are starting to look a little dated, the lift in the Forest Wing was not running smoothly and the water supply reliability.
Location: Location good and nice views from some parts of the hotel, close to town with options to get in to town, walk, bus, car(if you have one), taxi.
Price had obviously been bumped up due to the tourist season and the Concert that was what we were there for. Taking the cost of the hotel into consideration I did not feel it was value for money. Our room had no water one morning and when it was looked at we got told it was probably due to everyone having a shower at the same time. Not a good response considering it is a hotel and the price that we paid. The room was OK, very spacious and a nice wee balcony to enjoy a wine in the warm weather. Generally it was ok but overpriced for this stay. I have stayed there previously at a more acceptable rate and have enjoyed it so would stay there again.

Good morning , Thank you for taking the time to leave your honest feedback following your recent stay here with us. We take all guest feedback and comments very seriously as it allows us to continuously improve our product and services. We apologies for any inconvenience caused with our Forest lift being out of order, a technician is onsite today to ensure this is working smoothly again. In regards to our water supply, this is connected to the council supply and we have been experiencing some issues over the weekend, it has been passed onto our Maintenance Manager to address with the council. Thank you for highlighting this to us. I sincerely hope we have the opportunity to welcome you back in the near future, please do not hesitate to contact me direct alexandriaA@heritagehotels.co.nz should you have any dates in mind and I will personally look after your booking. Great views of Lake Wakatipu and the mountains

Reception was bit understaffed and we had to wait for a while as other international visitors were taking time. Inside the room was better than expected compared to the look of the building, complicated structure, and a tired lift. A little far from the town centre but it is up in the hill and the view was magnificent. Stroll down by the lake was breathtaking!

Only a 15 minute walk into the CBD.

Pillow selection was one type only in our rooms. Bill review option, on TV was not kept up to date for client to view at will.

Loving Queenstown

Location: Queenstown is beautiful with plenty to do for everyone. We definately will be back.
Thank you we had a wonderful weekend at the Heritage to celebrate our wedding anniversary. We had a beautiful lakeside room with magnificent views of the lake and the Remarkable. We also had a superb steak meal in the restaurant - it was cooked to perfection - compliments to the chef. Staff were exceptionally friendly. Highly Recommend. Only criticism - housekeeping came after 4pm on the Saturday - so room was not serviced. (we were offered the service but we were relaxing after a busy morning.)

Cons: See above re the shower.
Great hotel and wonderful location. The shower pressure was quite weak - the only complaint really. In a hotel of this standard I would have expected better.
