Hi Uri Thanks very much for staying at the Cleveland over the weekend just gone. Every year we upgrade/renovate our apartments and were making real progress with 22 of our 31 apartments having been improved. Our plan was to continue with upgrades/renovations this winter and to complete the remaining 9 apartments. However, Covid has thrown a spanner in the works and put us back several months. Unfortunately, you booked one of the un-renovated apartments. We would love to have you stay at the Cleveland the next time you visit Rotorua and suggest you book early to be allocated a recently renovated apartment. And, hopefully, you will get a chance to try out our outdoor heated swimming pool and our private geothermal mineral pools. We do appreciate your feedback, thank you.

Hi Anonymous Thanks for your feedback. It is a shame you took offence with our rule regarding cooking. Most, if not all, of our house rules have been the result of behaviour from past guests. We have had guests fry fish, cook spicy food, etc., etc., leaving smells that have taken up to 2 weeks to remove and that are not acceptable to other guests. As we would have told you "cook anything you like, so long that the smells you leave behind are acceptable to the next guest". We do have a communal kitchen that is offered for those who must cook food with extra strong smells. We have found that by focusing on prevention, we have been able to ensure our incoming guests check into rooms that are not only clean but are also free of food odours.
