The Bolton is my go to place when visiting Wellington. It is a cut above the rest and we have tried a number of different Hotel/Motels in Wellington. The service is great, the staff are awesome and helpful and the price is very competitive compared to others . We will be back

Overall, this was just okay. The front desk staff were slightly accusatory, so not a great first or last impression. The room itself was nice, but there was no fan in the bathroom so the mirror fogged up if you had a shower without leaving the door open. There were items missing from the mini bar. There was something wrong with the in-room ipads, so my room service order didn't go through (it's lucky I checked). I ordered a steak, which was very chewy, and a cheese platter. The cheese was nice but there were no nuts (as promised on the menu). The TV options were fairly standard - it would be great if the hotel invested in Netflix. The saving grace was the fitness area - the spa pool and sauna were divine. Don't get me wrong, I had a great time, but I don't feel that what I experienced matched my investment.
