It had construction right outside our window so couldn't open the curtains during the day also had some weird set up with a full glass wall beside the toilet with a view into the bathroom and at the toilet lucky they had a blind on it as it was completely see through other wise room had everything that you would need

Kia ora, I am sorry that you looked out at our neighbouring building, who are currently carrying out a refurbishment. It is challenging being in CBD location with buildings close by, and when they decide to carry out work it is out of our control. We are working on a future refurbishment plan for our rooms, part of this includes removing the opaque glass wall and replacing with a standard wall. It is nice to see that otherwise everything was okay with your room and stay. Kindest regards Marcus

Love the convince of the location, Air con in room was uncomfortably noisy. With lots of clunking, I would not want this room again

Kia ora, Really nice to see that you enjoyed our convenient location. However I am sorry to read that the AC in your room was noisy and clunky. We are currently trialling a new AC unit that is more modern, efficient and quiet - we just need a few months to ensure that it’s fit for purpose, before starting on a replacement program. Service was poor, apart from a couple of great staff. Head concierge on the Friday was rude to his staff and didn't care about the customer. Room had a stove but no cooking utensils.

Kia ora, I’m really sorry to see that we delivered a poor stay experience, it is very disappointing that we let both you and ourselves down. It is very strange to read your feedback about our chief concierge, as he was on leave when you stayed with us, that said we will look into who that might have been. We do not place cooking utensils in our rooms, as we do not sell the hotel as an apartment style hotel. However, as noted on the cook top and in the compendium, we are very happy to deliver cooking utensils on request. I am sorry that overall we let you down, we certainly don’t set our to do so - that much I can assure you. Kindest regards Marcus

The harbour view was very good, with the exception of the scaffolding and workmen on the building next door. The bathroom hand basin wouldn't drain away, but we were told that maintenance don't work weekends, so we had to use the sink for our teeth and handwashing

I can assure you that we would prefer the work was not taking place, and we cannot wait for it to finish. I am really sorry that our team did not attempt to offer you a room move or clear the drain in the hand basin, this is not satisfactory at all and I apologise. I will be addressing this with my team. We always stay at the Rydges when I Wellington because if it’s location and facilities. Our stay this time was in a suite and was a little dirty.
