Really disappointing - room was not serviced which meant no rubbish collection, fresh towels etc for 3 nights. Minimal supplies given eg 1 sachet of washing up liquid - with no servicing this is really inadequate. Room really dated with what looked like makeup marks around light fittings, various vent holes uncovered and dusty and surfaces clearly had not been cleaned. Staff interaction was the only positive. Would not stay here again nor recommend

Hotel was centrally located hence we chose it for the night. Looking for a place to get a good nights sleep after driving up from South Island and then the ferry ride. Apart from the location there is not a lot else good to say about this hotel. It did not have star rating but had 4 dots so assumed when booking it was okay. I had read some negative reviews but thought they may be people being picky. How wrong I was. Check in was fine, but after that I would have to say this was the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. The kitchenette was dirty, there was black mould in the bathroom, but worst of all the bed was so bad I was forced to sleep on the sofa in the room. If there was two in the bed as soon as you moved you ended up in the middle of the bed banging into each other. Clearly the base and mattress were stuffed. So after a rubbish 2 or 3 hours sleep I went downstairs to check out and politely informed the attendant of the issue with the room and more specifically the bed. Her lack of response was amazing. No sorry to hear that, no I’ll inform the management.... just okay. Clearly the same issue had been heard on numerous occasions before and so was ignored. As stated above this is the worst hotel I have ever stayed at. Be warned if you are considering it. The terrible reviews are legit, find somewhere else to stay.

Room was big with a amazing view, it was clean, warm and lots of extra blankets. Would definitely stay here again

Very disappointed with this place. Came for a special occasion and it was ruined. We were supposed to stay for 2:nights but after one we left. The room was cold no extra blankets. There were fights scraps all night and the pipes in the bathroom was very noisey. Def not happy. Found a packet of cigarettes behind the bedside cabinet and hair in the bathroom.

The room was nice but I booked a room with a balcony and didn’t get a balcony. Also, floor needed a good vacuum.
