Pro: room on the Imperial floor was large Cons: 1. misleading advertising - we paid a nightly extra charge for a "Japanese breakfast" .... there was no Japanese breakfast - I think we should be refunded for this! 2. we paid an extra charge for 3 people in the room, but we only got 2 bathrobes, etc...where was the service? 3 . like others have noted, there is the per day amenity charge that we had to pay....this was not in the per night quote from Hotels.com .... why? We definitely will not be staying here in the future.

Was woke up by a fire alarm twice, in the middle of the night. Someone vomited in the pool so I couldn't use it. There was rampant drug usage and homelessness around the property, so much so I was afraid I would be hurt. Hair in the bathroom and stains on my bed sheets, and to top it off zero shampoo in the shower. The staff was hospitable and wonderful, but this hotel is certainly not worth the rate.

We loved it!! We stayed in King executive suite, the room was so nice it has two bathrooms the bathroom in the bedroom has a seat warmer, the view is amazing. Customer service is excellent. The gym is clean and has good equipment. I highly recommend this hotel. You cannot enter the hotel without a key card for security purposes.

Short stay in San Fran

Here’s a polished summary you can post on Hotels.com: --- We had a great stay at Hotel Nikko San Francisco. The service was excellent — the valet staff and concierge were especially friendly and helpful. Our room was clean and well-maintained, and we appreciated having access to a decent-sized gym and a nice indoor pool area. The hotel’s refurbished sushi restaurant, Kanpai, was also a highlight with good food and a comfortable atmosphere. A few things to note: valet parking is quite expensive, starting at $85 per day, and there’s an additional $39 (plus tax) daily fee that covers WiFi, gym use, and a food/drink credit, even if you don’t use these amenities. Traffic around Union Square can be heavy in the late afternoons, and just west of the hotel is the Tenderloin district, which feels noticeably more run-down and isn't ideal for walking alone at night. Overall, Hotel Nikko is a great choice if you're looking for comfort and amenities in the city, but for first-time visitors, it might be more convenient to stay closer to Fisherman's Wharf, where many tourist attractions are located.

The staff were fabulous. Very polite and accommodating. Love that they do turn down service. Since COVID hotels have dramatically decreased services. When I vacation, I want to feel pampered, you will get this at Hotel Nikko. All hotel staff acknowledged myself and my companion warmly as we came and went throughout the day. The service staff was amazing. Was underwhelmed by the cleanliness. The bathroom hadn't been wiped down (mirrors and glass door) and the bed spread had a stain on the underside of the comforter. Otherwise amazing location and I can't say enough about the friendliness of the staff.

Beautiful hotel

The Nikko is a beautiful hotel in a convenient downtown location. The room was comfortable and nicely appointed. I highly recommend it!!
