The room was very clean, and the staff was very courteous and helpful. The bed was extremely comfortable and TV was large and nice to use. The shower head was a little off and perhaps a bit broken. Room service food is a bit pricey for the quality and taste but other than that I would happily return.

My spouse and I booked a night here for a “stay-cation” since we are local to SoCal. The photos portrayed a sense of quiet, costal luxury and with the price-point, we felt it would be worth the splurge. Beware that although the address is technically “Newport Beach” it is absolutely more on the Santa Ana side. Here are the draw-backs I encountered: 1. You have to pay to park; $43 per night for self pay and even more for valet. If you wanted to park just for an hour or two and leave again, you have to pay based on your time, similar to other paid parking garages. 2. They charged my card an obscure $74 fee without disclosing it. When I saw it on my account, I asked the front desk and they said it’s an “incidental” fee. I understand needing a deposit or card on file, but the random fee without any notice felt unprofessional. 3. The people at the front desk were distracted speaking with other staff instead of attentive to guests. 4. Not all reservations include breakfast. Apparently, that was the case for us despite having paid full-price for our room. They have a “restaurant” in the lobby but the costs are insane. 5. There were airplanes flying over all night long and it was very loud. 6. There were about 10 children around the age of 10 in the jacuzzi unsupervised by adults. 7. The room was so incredibly basic. Nothing at all to justify the expense. Rough towels, cheap soap, terrible lighting The TV was far away from the bed off to the side of the room and was small.

Once we entered there was a nice lobby, however, when we got to the room, the bathroom door had water damage at the bottom of it and there was peel and stick vinyl. It was coming up in the bathroom. We had to change rooms because there was a weird smell, which the front desk was very accommodating and even gave us free breakfast. The rooms had a nice vibe more modern feel. However, it is an older building that has been remodeled. It did not have a new new feeling to me. I would probably stay here again depending on the price.
